Year 5 had a great Italian day on Friday 5th May 2017 which marked the end of their Geography topic. The highlight of the day was definitely the Italian feast that the girls brought in. It included home-made strawberry gelato and pesto, gnocchi, salami pizza, pasta and focaccia to name a few of the dishes!
The girls also designed and shared end of topic quizzes, did a google slides presentation to their class on an Italian city of their choice, and designed and made beautiful Venetian masks.
They had spent time researching the masks during the week to then create their own on the day. They turned out beautifully and it helped that some girls bought their own masks in from home to help with their designs.
