New Nursery Manager

Welcome to Mrs Roberts

The Board of Governors of Burgess Hill Girls are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Suzanne Roberts as the new Manager of Burgess Hill Nursery from November 2016.

After completing a post graduate teaching qualification in Primary Education, specialising in Key Stage 1, Suzanne taught at an independent pre-school in Twickenham. She quickly progressed into management as Head of Early Years in both the public and private sectors.

Working in London opened many different avenues and Suzanne was fortunate enough to work for many years for a well-established charity which then became a social enterprise, supporting families with social and economic needs to access childcare and parenting support. This led Suzanne into working on local government initiatives as a manager across several children’s centres, driving the vision for these centres, as determined nationally and locally. Suzanne’s most recent role, before relocating to the beautiful East Sussex coast, was as general manager of a unique private members club and nursery for families in South West London where she was responsible overseeing the compliance and quality of services delivered.

Speaking of her new role, Suzanne said, “I am delighted now, after over 25 years working in the field of education, to be joining such a dedicated team at Burgess Hill Nursery. My priority as the Nursery Manager is to ensure that Burgess Hill Nursery continues to be the outstanding setting it is today providing young children with an excellent start to their education.”

Kathryn Bell, Head of Burgess Hill Girls welcomed Suzanne, saying, “We are delighted that Suzanne has joined the family of schools at Burgess Hill Girls. She is a highly experienced practitioner who has the welfare and development of the children at the heart of all she does. The Nursery continues to go from strength to strength, supporting and enriching the minds of our young children.”
