Thomas House Tuck Shop for Sport Relief
The girls raise money for Sport Relief and Fairtrade Fortnight
Date posted: 18/03/16
On Friday 18th March, the girls arrived at school in their favourite sports gear, each donating £1 for Sports Relief. Some were athletes others were horse riders, swimmers, tennis players and footballers. Even the staff joined in!
At lunchtime, Thomas House had great fun organising a Tuck Shop. Some of the activities enjoyed by the girls were: name the teddy, a chocolate fountain, doughnuts on a string, guess the number of sweets in the jar, a tombola and an obstacle course. The girls showed great enthusiasm and team work setting up this experience and were very well organised prior to the event.
There was also a stall run by the Junior School Council and Eco Committee. They sold many delicious cakes, cookies and other baked goods. This was a suggestion made by our Year 6 School representative at the Burgess Hill Youth Council. This stall raised money and awareness for Fairtrade Fortnight.
