Year 5 Residential Trip to Swattenden

Year 5 had an amazing trip to Swattenden activity centre in Kent. They took part in many outdoor activities including rock climbing, zip wire, high ropes, obstacle course and the crate challenge.

The girls particularly enjoyed the evening activities, the camp fire and night walk. During the camp fire they toasted marshmallows, sang songs and told riddles. The night walk was very dark and exciting. The girls found a disused woodcutters cottage deep in the woods!

Each girl developed their confidence, determination and courage throughout the 2 night residential trip.

“My favourite activity was the rock climbing wall and I also liked the zip wire and low adventure course. I wish that we could go back next year. One thing that I found a bit scary was the night walk because I couldn’t see very well!”  Molly

“I had a great time at Swattenden especially because I got to know everyone and really pushed myself further than I imagined. I really enjoyed the high ropes since it was fun and challenging. I really thought it was fun and I really learnt some skills.” Amy
