Year 9 Gredos Trip - Spain 2016
Date posted: 03/11/16
This October, the whole of Year 9 took a fantastic trip to the Gredos Mountains in Spain. On the trip, lessons from across the curriculum were taken into the great outdoors. The girls investigated River Transport during a Geography lesson in the Tormes river, examined geometric design in the Islamic architecture of Salamanca, and learnt about Spanish culture through experiences such as a bullring tour and a cooking lesson. The trip also encouraged the girls out of their comfort zone, with exciting activities including a high ropes course. Even the girls who study German had a go at some Spanish, completing a trail around the local village, following clues and interacting with the locals in the shops to complete tasks. The trip provided an excellent opportunity for Year 9 to really come together as a group. Their good manners and enthusiasm were a credit to the school.
