Carnegie Shadowing 2017

Posted: 24th March 2017

Carnegie Shadowing 2017 got off to a great start in the Learning Resources Centre, Senior School. This year is the 80th anniversary of the Carnegie Medal, the most prestigious UK award a writer of fiction for young people can win.

The girls couldn’t wait to get their hands on one of the eight nominated titles. The LRC, in conjunction with the English Department, offer the challenge to Years 7, 8 and 9.

Genres this year range from alien invasion, to life in a refugee camp, to growing up in the 1970’s. We will be having our first discussion meeting just after we return from the Easter break.
