The 2017 Sixth Form Ball was held at Jeremy’s, Borde Hill Gardens on Friday 26th May 2017. On a beautiful sunny evening, as the girls arrived, canapes and Pimms were served. Everyone mingled and had photos taken in the gardens, before moving into the marquee for dinner, which was also elegantly decked out. Much like the build up to the event, the atmosphere was electric all evening as Sixth Formers chatted in their finest dresses, celebrating this academic year.
A special thanks and congratulations goes to Libby B and Lucy B, the Sixth Form Events Coordinators for organising such a successful event. The location, decorations, overall presentation and format of the evening was excellently delivered. Another special thanks also goes to their parents who kindly helped out too. A delicious dinner was served and this was followed by a farewell speech from Head Girl, Vicky H, followed by Head of Sixth Form, Mr Dyson. Our Sixth Formers contribute so much to our wonderful school community and it was lovely to hear this being recognised and appreciated in the speeches. Mr Dyson also thanked his Sixth Form tutor team for all they do to support us.
After the festivities in the marquee drew to a close, dancing soon began while others settled on to the heated patio area to enjoy the end of a very warm and perfectly pitched evening. Lower Sixth student Fiona G said “It was a brilliant venue, and a friendly warm environment. It was well organised and the food was amazing. The gardens provided an opportunity for really great photos and I really enjoyed the dancing!”
