Five Finalists in the National Open Art Children’s Competition

Five young artists from Burgess Hill Girls have been chosen as finalists in the inaugural National Open Art Children’s Competition. The competition seeks to nurture and encourage children and young people of all ages and capabilities to engage in the arts and aims to inspire the next generation of artists and creatives.

Of Burgess Hill Girls, the judges said: ‘There were a high number of entrants from across the country and the judges were extremely impressed with the talent at the school. This is an incredible achievement.’

The girls’ work is being featured on the National Open Art website (see two-thirds of the way down) and will be on show at Chichester’s Oxmarket Gallery between 5th and 17th December.
