On 28th September, the Burgess Hill equestrian team took part in Hurst College’s Inter-Schools Team and Individual Show Jumping Competition, held at Hickstead Showground. The competition with twenty-two different schools, consisted of three classes with jumping heights ranging from 45cm to 90cm, in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
It was a fantastic day of jumping with the sun shining brightly and Burgess Hill Girls Equestrian team had students riding in all three classes. In Class One with a course of 45-50cm jumps, Alice T, Amelia H, Phoebe M and Florence T competed and rode brilliantly. Well done to Alice T, who placed 2nd and to Amelia H, placing 12th.
In Class Two, which consisted of a course of 65cm-70cm jumps, the Burgess Hill Girls riders competing were Darcey W, Alice T, Amelia H, Millie M and Lucy B. All riders jumped lovely rounds and congratulations to Darcey W, who placed in 13th place.
In Class Three, a course of 85-90cm, we saw Violetta M, Darcey W and Heidi R ride in a competitive class. Well done to all girls and congratulations to Violetta M, placing in 6th place.
