On Wednesday, 11th December 2024, the Prep School and Nursery at Burgess Hill Girls hosted a vibrant and energetic event—the Charity Elf Run in aid of St Peter and St James Hospice. The day was a wonderful celebration of festive fun and community spirit, as pupils participated in a variety of activities designed to get them moving and smiling, all while supporting a meaningful cause.
The school grounds were transformed into a hub of excitement, with pupils navigating an obstacle course on the astro, tackling playful challenges on the single court, and enjoying light running circuits along the school paths. Dressed in their elf hats and festive accessories, the children threw themselves into every activity with boundless energy, their laughter and festive cheer echoing across the grounds.
More than just a day of fun, the Elf Run had a powerful purpose. The Prep School pupils raised an impressive £685 so far for St Peter and St James Hospice, whose compassionate work makes a difference in the lives of so many. Donations are still being accepted, and you can support this wonderful cause by visiting our JustGiving page.
The event was expertly organized and run by the PE department, whose creativity and enthusiasm ensured every pupil had a fantastic time. Their leadership brought the day to life, providing an array of activities that kept everyone engaged and smiling from start to finish.
The Elf Run was a perfect blend of festive joy and meaningful giving, bringing together fun and purpose in a way that left everyone with lasting memories. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the event, from the hardworking PE staff to the families and friends who donated so generously. Together, we’ve made a significant contribution to St Peter and St James Hospice, spreading hope and joy during the festive season.
