Dance Workshop For Girls In Year 4

Posted: 6th May 2026

On Tuesday 10th June, Burgess Hill Girls is delighted to offer a fun, high‑energy dance workshop for girls who love music, movement and performing, and who are currently in Year 4 at a school in Sussex.*

The session will run for 90 minutes from 4.30pm until 6.00pm and will give every girl the chance to learn exciting dance routines inspired by songs performed by Shakira from the much‑loved Zootropolis 2 film. With its upbeat music and lively rhythms, the workshop is designed to be inclusive, confidence‑building and full of joy.

Led by our Head of Prep PE, Kate Johnson, pupils will warm up together before learning a choreographed routine that focus on coordination, expression and teamwork. Girls will be encouraged to perform with confidence, explore musicality and enjoy moving creatively in a relaxed and supportive environment. No previous dance experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a readiness to have fun.

As well as learning new moves, the workshop aims to build self‑belief and help girls feel comfortable expressing themselves through dance. The session will finish with a short performance‑style run‑through, giving participants a strong sense of achievement and something to feel proud of.

If your daughter is in Year 4, not currently at Burgess Hill Girls and would like to take part in this lively dance workshop, please book their place using the form below.
