At the start of term we ran our first virtual open days, our Whole School and Nursery Open Day in September and then our Sixth Form Open Evening in October. Like many schools across the country this is a new phenomenon that we have quickly had to get to grips with and we will be the first to say we are still learning how to provide an optimal experience that gets close to the physical experience.
We are very proud of all of our pupils, who relished the opportunity to get involved in the new format and help prospective pupils and their parents find out more about Burgess Hill Girls. Deserving of special praise is Sixth Formers Leisha, Elana, Francesca, Charlotte, Florence, Emily and Francesca, who put on their own student-led Q&A session at our Sixth Form Open Evening in October. The discussion covered a wide range of topics including the comparison of Sixth Form versus Senior School life, starting new in the Sixth Form, the learning experience during COVID, co-curricular activities and choosing University courses in the UK and Overseas.
If you were not able to attend you will be pleased to hear you can watch the 10 minute session in full below. If you still have further questions please do get in touch, we would be happy to arrange a one-to-one video chat with one of our Sixth Formers, our Head of Sixth Form, Bill O’Brien Blake, or both!
