Our annual Carers’ Day was a little different this year.
Normally local businesses come along to the school to provide a free day out for the carers including, but not limited to, massages, haircuts and potting plants. Our Senior school pupils love getting involved, looking after our guests, performing for them, and helping them to a tasty tea courtesy of Burgess Hill Girls.
This year, due to lockdown we had to do things a little differently. Burgess Hill Town Council supplied over 80 gift bags containing a selection of treats and gifts from Tesco, Apetito, Cocoa Loco, The Budding Foundation, Tates of Sussex and Silvas Cafe. Burgess Hill Girls also supplied cards written and designed by our pupils, plants and other goodies.
It was great to give back to our community but we hope next year we can host the event properly again at Burgess Hill Girls.
