New for September 2026 Entry
Celebrating 120 Years of Empowering Tomorrow’s Women
For 120 years, Burgess Hill Girls has been dedicated to empowering tomorrow’s women and girls – inspiring confidence, unlocking potential, and shaping futures. Since our founding in 1906 by Beatrice Goode, we have remained true to her pioneering vision of creating a school where girls can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
As part of our 120th anniversary celebrations coming up in 2026, we are proud to honour her legacy by launching the Beatrice Goode Award, a new opportunity for girls to join our community and share in this remarkable tradition of excellence.
The Beatrice Goode Award – a bold opportunity for the next generation of trailblazing girls to join us and continue this legacy
The award is open to academically able girls entering Years 3, 4 or 5 in September 2026 who are currently attending a maintained (state) school, and have never previously been in independent education, reflecting our commitment to widening access and extending the transformational opportunity of a Burgess Hill Girls education.
What does the award offer?
Recipients of the Beatrice Goode Award will benefit from:
-
Transformational support with school fees (up to 50%), opening the door to an exceptional independent education
-
Celebration of talent and potential, recognising each girl’s unique strengths, passions and aspirations
-
The chance to flourish in an empowering environment shaped by 120 years of expertise in developing girls into confident, bold, and capable young women
