Example Week

Monday is usually a trip to the supermarket and a relaxed evening in house for the girls. On Tuesday Mr Beels runs a multisport session for all the girls. They can choose which sports to play and enjoy a nice treat after to reward their work. On Wednesday Miss Mahoney runs a craft club with any willing participants. They learn new skills, work on decorating their rooms and spend time bonding with girls across the year groups and both boarding houses. On Thursday the older girls often visit the fitness suite and enjoy some of the fabulous school facilities available on campus. Fridays are a range of house activites including spa nights, games evenings, and film club with popcorn. Saturdays allow the girls to explore beyond the school and experience a range of new activities. While Sundays are a nice relaxing day preparing for school the next day.

Every Saturday there is a big boarding activity or excursion for Years 7-10, with the older girls welcome to opt in. These trips allow the girls to explore new skills and try new things that many have never experienced before. Some example trips this term have been camping, cooking for Come Dine with Me, Lazer Zone and a Halloween Haunted House made by the girls themselves. Upcoming trips will include London Theatre days, cinema trips, zoo days and more. These trips allow the girls to bond and enjoy the family atmosphere within the boarding house. They are able to build their relationships and enjoy a social environment outside the boarding house.

Burgess Hill Girls Boarding School Review Prisha

“Boarding is soooooo much fun!! Staff are super nice and fun and they are also open to talk to. They book really fun trips and they make boarding really fun to do. They help keep us organised for school, especially make us keep our rooms tidy!”
