You could have your cake and eat it at Burgess Hill Girls yesterday! Our talented bakers raised a whopping £300 for St Peter and St James’ Hospice in the Valentine’s Bake Off. Imaginative and inspirational bakes included tiny heart shaped petit fours, immaculate rose laden cup-cakes, melt in the mouth cookies and even a Bridge of Love.
The sheer number of delicious and appetising treats made the competition very tough indeed. Winners to be announced shortly! Thank you very much to our professional judge, Mrs Hutchinson, to the Burgess Hill Girls catering staff who provided the tea and coffee, to everyone who supported the event and to our magnificent bakers who gave up their time to raise money for a very worthy local cause.
