Year 10 were delighted to welcome local MP Sir Nicholas Soames to their Professional and Life Skills Session on Friday 20th January . A brief introduction about the role of an MP was followed by a lively Question and Answer session with the girls asking questions ranging from the refugee crisis, Brexit, the American elections and the Prime Minister. Sir Nicholas Soames has visited the school on a number of occasions and the girls are always very appreciative of his honest, respectful and very informative responses. They were also impressed that he uses Twitter and were delighted to read his Tweet after the event.
