On Friday 12th May 2017, ‘Live at the C2’ played host to a night of vocal music, featuring songs from the world of Opera, Operetta and Musical Theatre.
The evening opened with the Senior Choir’s rendition of ‘Broadway Blockbusters’ and went on to include performances from the Lower School Choir, Chamber Choir, Findlay Forte and various other small ensembles. Other highlights included many solos as well as the Glee Club. The girls’ performances were supported by a fantastic band, which really added to the occasion. The concert ended with a touching arrangement of “Somewhere” from West Side Story.
The feedback from audience members has been terrific, with many positive comments about high standard of performances. Congratulations must go to all those involved who made the evening so unique especially Mrs Findlay for her hard work with the girls, Mrs Meredith-Jones, Miss Donson and Mr Osborne for providing and setting up the sound system for the night.
