Not even lockdown can keep our strong school community apart, as a group of Year 9 students showed.
Eight students read children’s books they had written and illustrated to Reception and Year 1 girls in a special virtual story time. Kristen A, Anna E, Sophie F, Tiajoy J, Rosina M, Qiu Q, Maia T and Casey W had created the books as part of their distance learning in English. ‘I really enjoyed writing it and drawing all the pictures,’ said Kristen, who read her book Hermie’s Adventures Under the Sea. ‘It’s my favourite thing we have done in English.’
Mrs Heather Cavanagh, Head of Prep School says “It was lovely having the older girls share story time with us. The Pre-Prep girls loved listening to the stories, and it was great to be part of the wider school community despite the distance.”
