On Wednesday 15th March Burgess Hill Girls is offering a unique learning opportunity for girls who love puzzles and challenges, want to develop their maths skills and who are currently in Year 2 at a school in Sussex*.
The workshop will be led by Burgess Hill Girls Pre-Prep teacher, Hazel Notman and teaching assistant Lucy Atkinson.
The session will run for 90 minutes from 4.30pm on Wednesday 15th March, finishing at 6.00pm.
Below is an overview of the activities.
Codebreaker Maths
Using KS1 maths skills – the groups will solve clues that have been hidden around the rooms – until they have a secret code to unlock the computer. If their code is correct – they will save Easter and be rewarded with some Easter themed crafts to take away.
Save the Easter Bunny!
The Easter bunny has been trapped and we need to work together to solve the hidden clues to make sure that he can get out in time for Easter and make sure all the treats are ready for us! Using our team work and thinking skills, we will work in small groups to solve the clues to unlock the computer and hopefully save Easter from being ruined!
