The Year 8’s embarked on a spellbinding adventure to Warner Bros Studio on Thursday, 10th October! This enchanting experience allowed students to go beyond the ordinary classroom and dive into the magical world of storytelling, our Head of English, Sarah Kruschandl reports.
Wands at the ready, our students stepped onto authentic film sets, wandered through the Great Hall, and marvelled at the sorcery behind captivating special effects. They uncovered the enchanting secrets of how the Harry Potter books were transfigured into blockbuster films, bringing beloved characters and stories to life on the big screen.
As part of our magical journey, students participated in a bespoke lesson, which offered illuminating insights into how stories are conjured into screenplays. To add even more charm, the sets were bewitched for Halloween, creating a spine-tingling atmosphere as Death Eaters and Dementors gave us thrillingly eerie performances.
It was a truly unforgettable day, brimming with wonder, learning, and inspiration. We can’t wait to whisk our students away on more adventures like this in the future!
