The Governors of the School are responsible for planning the strategic direction of the whole School. This is achieved in concert with the Executive Senior Leadership Team, who are then expected to implement the strategic plan through a school improvement plan and individual departmental plans. The whole Governing Body meets approximately four times a year with a number of sub-committees meeting three times a year prior to each Main Board meeting. The Governing Body is also required to confirm that the School is compliant with all relevant legislation and for providing governance oversight of the School’s day to day operations. The School is registered as a charity and therefore, the Governors are also Trustees of the Charity. They are also responsible for recruiting the Head and the Bursar.
