Stuart’s working life has mostly been in transport infrastructure, but he also chaired two pension funds and Shoreham Port, and was a Non-Executive Director of several UK and overseas companies. His areas of expertise include finance, commercial contracts, and compliance issues.
Stuart is currently an athletics coach and a published writer. He was also a Governor and Deputy Chair of a local primary school, and was elected to West Sussex County Council in 2021.
Stuart become a Governor in 2017 after his two daughters both went to Burgess Hill Girls and he now chairs the Resources Committee.
