Head’s Challenge

Posted: 22nd May 2020

For this special lockdown period we have created a new weekly challenge, the Head’s Challenge.

There are four basic rules to the Head’s challenge.

  1. The challenge is announced by video every Friday. You have until midday the following Wednesday to complete it. Highlights of all the challenges will be released on the following Friday with the next week’s brief. We are afraid we will not be able to feature any entries received after the Wednesday deadline.
  2. Anyone in the Burgess Hill Girls community can enter, pupils of all ages, from the Nursery to the Sixth Form, but also parents, grandparents, guardians, Bold Girls, parents of Bold Girls. You can do it too!
  3. You enter the challenge by emailing amber.balman@burgesshillgirls.com or share your entry with us by tagging @BHillGirls on Twitter and Instagram posts or @BurgessHillGirls on Facebook posts.
  4. There will be no single winners – just by taking part you are a winner!

HEAD’S CHALLENGE 22nd MAY 2020 brief

This week’s Head’s Challenge is set by Ms Flint, Assistant Head, Academic. She would like you to write yourself a time capsule letter. This letter could include what you have taken away from this extraordinary time, what you have learnt and memories you will cherish. No one else will read your letter.

Put your letter into an envelope with your name and home address on it and then put it into another envelope addressed to Ms Flint, Senior School Reception, Burgess Hill Girls, Keymer Road, Burgess Hill, RH15 0EG. She will then send it back to you one day within the next year and you can remind yourself of what you were thinking during this period of remote learning. Take a photo of yourself with the envelope and send it to us.

The deadline is midday Wednesday 27th May. Enter the challenge by emailing amber.balman@burgesshillgirls.com or share your entry with us by tagging @BHillGirls on Twitter and Instagram posts or @BurgessHillGirls on Facebook posts.

NB Please use landscape format for video and images and keep your videos to less than 15 seconds if possible.
