Job Description

We are looking to appoint a part-time Art Technician to support our Head of Art during school term time for 3 days a week, commencing in September 2022.

The role involves providing a proactive and efficient support service to the Head of Art in order to ensure a smooth running department.  This includes various administrative tasks such as ordering of equipment and supplies, ensuring student artwork is appropriately displayed, preparation of materials for lessons with occasional support to students during lessons, maintaining risk assessments for the department and ensuring all departmental equipment is serviceable and clean.

In order to be successful in this role, you will be familiar with a variety of art materials and techniques.  Ideally you will have an art qualification; at least to A level standard or equivalent.  You should also be familiar with image manipulation and DTP packages such as Adobe, as well as Microsoft office packages.  You will also have excellent organisation skills and be able to work flexibly with a “can do” approach.   School experience would be helpful but is not essential.
