Required for September 2023 or January 2024
We are looking for a highly motivated, inspirational, enthusiastic and well qualified teacher of Textiles, to teach a broad and challenging curriculum to Years 7 to 13. The successful candidate will inspire in our pupils a love of Textiles. They are likely to be a graduate in Textiles or Fashion and they will need to be able to teach a broad range of specialisms in Textiles at all key stages up to and including A Level. With a broad range of topics centred on developments in the Fashion and Textiles industry, they must have a thorough understanding of Textiles beyond the classroom. The successful candidate will have a passion for Textiles and Art and be able to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the subject. This post would particularly suit a candidate with a few years’ experience of teaching up to A Level and looking to progress their career in a top-performing department that prides itself on its exceptional record of success in Art and Design. We have an extensive co-curricular programme and there is an expectation that the successful candidate will commit to this.
