GAP Assistant

Required from September 2018 on a 1 year contract.

We are seeking to recruit a Gap Assistant to work in our school for a year from September 2018.

The role of the Gap Assistant is first and foremost to support the Boarding Community of the school. The job entails working in the boarding houses alongside the Heads of Houses to create a warm, caring environment for our resident boarders. Duties will include supervising prep, turning lights out in the evening and getting our younger boarders up in the morning, encouraging group interaction with movie and games nights, and attending weekend trips and activities.

During the week you will also have a timetable of school based activities which could include supporting teachers in the classroom, supporting students with special needs e.e reading, assisting with PE/sports lessons and attending day and residential trips. An individual timetable is drawn up for each Gap Assistant, tailored to particular experience and interests as far as possible (where this can be accommodated).

To be successful in the role of Gap Assistant, you must be flexible, hardworking, a good communicator and an excellent team player. You will be in a position of responsibility so you must be comfortable with this, and be confident in dealing with a wide range of issues and situations. Ideally you will have some experience in working with children and young people and we particularly welcome applicants form candidates who are interested in either teaching or working with children as a career. Accommodation and meals will be provided during term time along with a monthly salary payment.

SATURDAY MORNING CLEANER REQUIRED

Term Time 5 hours per week

We have an opening for someone to join our housekeeping team to carry out regular household duties during school term time, working on a permanent contract basis (5 hours a day on a Saturday morning, during our School term of approximately 34 weeks per academic year).

The roles will involve cleaning a designated part of the School site, working as part of a dedicated team.

Previous experience is not essential as we will provide full training, however we are looking for someone who is a good team worker, who is flexible with excellent attention to detail and who can work on their own initiative.

NURSERY ASSISTANTS – BANK STAFF

We currently have opportunities for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our ‘Outstanding’ School Nursery as Bank Staff.

You will work as part of our excellent Nursery Team and with parents/carers to provide a stimulating, creative and safe environment for the children and promote the learning development of each child. The nursery is staffed between the hours of 7.30am to 6.30pm for 51 weeks of the year and we are looking for suitably qualified individuals who are potentially available to work between the hours stated on a 7 hour day – either an early or late start. Shifts will mainly be required during our School term time but may occasionally also be required during our School holiday periods when the nursery is also open.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have an excellent working knowledge of the EYFS along with at least a Level 2 qualification in childcare. You will also have previous experience of working with 2½ to 4 year olds, be able to deliver a high standard of care with excellent interpersonal skills.

bank Minibus Driver, Required asap

We are looking to increase our Bank Minibus Driving team (full clean driving licence to include D1 group entitlement) to join our team during term time to provide cover during staff absences and also for school trips and sports fixtures.
