Nursery Admissions

We welcome girls and boys over the age of two and a half years. Girls often progress through into our Reception class at Burgess Hill Girls the September after their fourth birthday.

Entry into the Nursery is by parent consultation with our Nursery Manager, Suzanne Roberts. Book a visit here.

Nursery Registration

After your consultation with the Nursery Manager, in order to have your child’s name added to the provisional admissions list, you will be asked to complete and return a Nursery Registration Form together with a non-refundable registration fee of £75*. If you would like your daughter to join the Pre-Prep & Prep School after Nursery we also ask for a commitment fee of £1,000 (£500 payable upon acceptance of your Nursery place, and then £500 on first day starting at Nursery). Those continuing into the Reception year will be credited with £500 against Spring term fees and the remaining £500 will be used as your main school deposit.

An offer of a place may be made after, but it is usual for us to delay making any offer until nearer the request entry date (You will be given a priority release Nursery place if committing to main school at the time of registering to Nursery).

Acceptance of Place

Once an offer of a place has been made, we ask you to complete an acceptance form and return it to us via post or email – together with a deposit of £200, refundable against your final Nursery invoice. If your daughter will be moving on to the Pre-Prep and Prep School we ask you to pay £500 of your commitment fee instead of the £200 deposit.

Nursery at Burgess Hill Girls

Place allocation

Burgess Hill Nursery is part of Burgess Hill Girls and shares the school’s commitment to providing girls with the best start in life via an outstanding all-round education.

Places are offered as follows and in priority order:

Priority for Nursery places is given to girls. Girls who have committed to join the Pre-Prep & Prep will receive priority on Nursery places.

Boys and girls may attend for up to five ‘school days’ or ‘long days’, during school term dates or 51 weeks a year.

Where there is a high demand for Nursery & Main School registrations the less likely we will be able to accommodate exact requests.
